Not tons of open space like a normal backpack but i prefer that and it stays slim

I imagine fitting a 1534 gaming laptop thats thicker than normal would probably not fit in laptop slot for reference

The large main compartment has a padded pocket for your laptop and a smaller pocket for a tablet or ipad

And theres room for some notebooks folders or a slim textbook

It is slim so you wont be able to carry lots of books but its big enough for my day to day needs
