It seem ridiculous to suggest the indigenous people of the americas had little impact on their environment or were there no ebbs and flows of population numbers and locations of the indigenous civilization

This doesnt make manns counters any less valuable as he tries to approach what he sees as misconceptions of multiple angles and even platforms arguments against his own

Manns tendency to provide a balance of information to each of his arguments did drag the book for me

Also the end notes at the end of the book were all numbered they should have been in the chapters themselves
