I test fit these fittings into the pump housing they threaded in fine however i noted they were very short on the threaded side probably just over 1 quarter inch and then use an oring to seal against the cast housing where a rough flange is

Took it back out and looked at the casting more closely and noted that the casting is not threaded very deep probably about an inch or so into the casting

Well this was a real problem since the oring boss threads are at least an inch before you even hit the oring on the shoulder

So i am giving one star off because i think the threads are cut to a very poor tolerance in the casting and are not a true straight cut 1 inch thread

Fortunately i have a knee mill and my solution to the problem was to simply make the threaded part of the oring boss shorter

Turned it on noted it is very noisy for its size does not help that the sound reverberates through the steel stand and tank
