Pros
Merv value = filter efficiency. Merv 8 is best porosity/pore size for common hvac air flow.
Made with sturdy components. Not flimsy. They are sturdy and don't get crushed when installing.
First time with central air and replaced our first filters. Filters fix perfect. It takes a few extra days. Hope it helps.
Cons
These are not merv 8. They have 7 pleats which will not provide any type of filtration of particulate matter.

I buy the merv 8 so there is not so much restriction on the fan and change my filters every 3 months

Our hvac guy stated that you want your filters thick if you have a lot of allergies but not too thick that it doesnt let the air through

The 12 inch smaller size works bestit avoids the screw heads that hold the grill in place

It does not fit into my slots provided the rim in too thick i just taped it into place
