I have them set up so that as video files are created they get transferred over my wifi to an internal server so that i can retain several weeks footage

My wifi signal is not brilliant and the camera has rather thick brick walls and iron girders to cope with

I think its worth fitting a lan cable directly as well as using wifi if you have a poor download speeds and of course if the camera is in a position where there is likely interference

The system allows all sorts of interrogation of visitors dates pictures etc and can be tuned to suit your specific requirements easily once you get used to where things are in the software
