Pros
Bought on spec and likely never used. Received it in 6 days and snapped it in no problem. Question that speaks to how much you want to spend. Was amazed to see this on amazon.
The marines have their ka-bar, but the navy has their mk3. It too is advertised as the us navy's standard issue tactical knife. But recommend the knife, will not work as a boot knife just heads up.
A must for every police diver or public safety diver. This gets to go boating with me alot. Handy on camping trips. A must for every sailor.

If i didnt know what i had ordered id have been disappointed i didnt get a machete thats how big the box was
Received mine with the metal spring clip missing from the sheath
I called okc at the phone on the card that came in the box
The box the knife comes in is loooong

The ontario name and remaining stock has been sold to another company their a distributor not a manufacturer
If you understand what it’s supposed to be it’s good at it for the money there are better options but not as collectible ones

Compared to the ontario air force survival sp2 knife however the mk 3 is a half inch longer but far less meaty in the blade and thus less sturdy and in comparing the two knives i prefer the sp2 without denigrating the mk 3 because i think it is more versatile

But my real issue is with the sheath sent with this mk 3 and i notice that many other reviewers have also complained

It is extremely difficult to even put the knife into the sheath it is that tight

In fact it is potentially dangerous because the blade might slip in the attempt which could cause injury
