Pros
Hope's is truly a great product. For me, this 16oz bottle is a lifetime supply. My son found it satisfactory in every way.
Easy to apply, smell is a bit strong. Dilute the first couple of coats with mineral spirits. Arrived sealed with no leakage.
Provides a fairly matte finish that accentuates grain nicely. Darkened slightly but walnut dark anyway.
Cons
It stays oily and greasy for long. My fore arms are oily and i smell like i made french fries all day. No glossy look.
This smells really bad. Overall, a complete disappointment. Lost over 3/4 of the tung oil.

A great alternative to polymer based coats
Turns out thats because its 65 solvent and drying agents and the msds does not even list tung oil so it might even be a synthetic resin

Tung oil has a distinctive smell that is not the most pleasant but it is with all tung oil and it fades over time

I did one coat but you could put on two coats depending on how much is absorbed
