The string connecting the lights is a clear plastic over silver wire type thing and is more attractive imo than a typical string of white christmas lights

The amount of light they put out collectively is spot on without having bright spots you know how some light sources like leds can seem to be piercingly bright even if the bulb is tiny and can be distracting if hung out in the open say iow not illuminating behind something else

First annoyingly there is no onoff switch

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This is problematic because of how people will actually use these lights

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I can get by without an onoff switch but no matter what if you turn the lights off youll have to toggle through the settings every time

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

There should be a default setting that can be selected absolutely

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

And wanted to do the same with this string of lights but it wont work the way i want it to

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Sure i could turn the lights on and off but the lights always reset and go back to the beginning of the lighting options which is blinkingflashing
