Pros & Cons
Pros
The sigma 100-400mm f5-6. Is a great value for the money. Pounds and comes with a tripod adapter. At 400mm, crop mode gets me a usable 600mm click.
Cons
The funniest thing is that they won't even get the benefit of their sleaziness. Independent manufacturers have made alternative collars available at half the price!
Highlights
Quality
Let’s discuss in detail starting with the best in class sony 100400 f 4
3 rxdin short an absolutely great lens at a fantastic price if you can live with the shortcomings
With no image stabilization built into the lens it does not compete for highest image quality when you must use a lower shutter speed
Let’s talk its strengths and a few weaknesses you may have read about optically it gives s 95 of the quality again at 38 of the cost
Price
6 that costs 2500 out of the price range of most
Shipping
Autofocus is lightning fast even on fast moving subjects like an aircraft
Competitiveness
This lens probably doesnt fully match the brilliance of sonys gm 100400 but for the everyman without 2500 its worth a real look
Not worth considering although i am in general a huge fan of sony’s awesome optics

I don’t like that the zoom is counter to other lenses specially the sony and nikkor

Auto focus can be off if you are shooting a cluttered subject so zooming in works and then back out to frame but i like to just use manual focus
