Pros

This is a very nice looking oak barrel, that adds additional great flavor to bourbon. The process of using the barrel is straightforward and it creates a great new flavor in the whiskey. Looking forward to aging gin next.

Cons

This barrel reeks of wood glue or some other form of adhesive. There is a knot on one of the staves that continues to leak dispite trying to “cure” the barrel with water for many weeks. The whisky tastes great, but this is ridiculous!

Customer service is completely non existent. Have tried emailing customer service as well as calling with no response. Total scam company.

Overall, the barrel's construction seems sturdy, but rough (literally) around the edges. I understand that these types of handcrafted items can include flaws and frankly, i'm not surprised about that. If i stand it up vertically it's ok. Worst part is... Read More
