Torch it to get the pellets started blow out flame after 5 minutes put in smoker and you are good for about 4 hours of smoke

The way it works is to crank the grill up on high so the pellets start smoking

Once the pellets are smoking then you turn off the outer ring and run the grill on only the center tube so the temperature is as low as the grill will go

If you cook at normal grill temperatures you will get little or no smoke flavor into whatever you are grilling as there will not be enough contact time

Dont totally soak the pellets though as they will swell and clog up the tube

Best way to get it going is to stand it up get the end lit and let it flame for at least 5 minutes then lay it on its side
