Since all the original plans studies and models of the class were destroyed at the end of the war all existing models of the yamato musashi including even the huge model at the japanese museum were based on the relatively few in comparison to most battleships photos interviews with surviving crew and builders and interestingly enough the notes of a german naval officer who was allowed to go on board at the personal request of hitler

But i do this exact kit from the mid70s my memory is telling me it was something like 6

The length is the same but it is narrower more tapered and the huge bulbous bow is probably 23 the size they thought it was

The other differences are cosmetic except that the bridge tower is slightly shortersquatter than the old model
