I needed to fix a ~2 tear on my couch, where a seam had broken. I found a Youtube video that recommended using  Ritza 25  for this application: https://youtu.be/Y0EL7K2NhYs?t=465 At the time when I was looking, that brand wasn't available from Amazon Prime and I would have had to wait for a longer time. Turns out, Leathercraft's thread is apparently very comparable and available right away.I was very happy with the quality of thread. The amount of wax was just right. It was easy to work with and I managed to lock it onto my  needles  on the first try. I was a little worried initially, as this required a technique that I was not previously familiar with; but this Youtube video explained it very well: https://youtu.be/Y0EL7K2NhYs?t=1013I also really appreciated that the thread is available in so many different colors. I was able to match the color of my furniture, even though it is somewhat unusual in having royal blue leather.Following the online instructions for saddle stitching resulted in a seam that is virtually indistinguishable from the factory-sewn seam: https://youtu.be/Y0EL7K2NhYs?t=4042 Also, since I was using a synthetic thread, after tying it off I briefly heated it with a lighter.
