They are used as bearing surfaces (sleeves) for the axel bolts but are not shown in the instructions anywhere. Difficult to lift table when stepping down on the pedal feels like it will break or bend.

Wheel locks seem to have great maneuverability. They are easy to lock and unlock. One can barely be spun by hand, gripping the inner and outer races.

Added the wheels to a discarded hutch turned workbench. Used these on a 5' x 5' cabinet. This is like the 3rd of 4th set that i've purchase to use on moveable table to use in my woodshed.

Ordered 2” with brakes, rated for 880 lb total. But the diameter is 1 7/8”, the width is ¾”. Red urethane “tires” on all 4 casters disintegrated after less than 2 years.

Flat spot on the red tire causes bumping noise when pushing a cart in our office. Had to take apart, add 6mm washer between both bearing inner races. Ball bearings rattle loose around the mounting pin/bolt.
