Pros and Cons

Pros1

Game is a great hostess gift. Works better for older kids, as spelling and knowing more words helps. All of my 6th-8th graders love it.

Cons2

There are only 3 boards for players to guess the word by the "host" of their specific word. The markers rub off on my hands, on the tile, on anything the ink gets close to. Why are there no erasers when you have to use the dry erase marker for literal...  Read More

The slightest movement on their board causes the flimsy squares to move out of position. The overall feel of the game is that it was made it as cheaply as possible. All materials included are probably worth less than five bucks.

Pros4

The set presents well. I know that this was a common gripe, and accepted it. Easter gift for the teen. Birthday gift for grandson. Got it for my son as a graduation gift.

Good craftsmanship on the pieces and the board. The folding chessboard is very finely made. The board doubles as storage for all the pieces of both the chess and checkers pieces.

The pieces fit snug in place. The magnets are good enough that you can easily relocate the board if you need to move the game. The magnetic pieces are great for when the board needs to be portable.

Only downside is that you have to be careful with the clasp closures on the side. One semi-con is that when the chess pieces are stored and you want to play checkers, the bishop and queen are thicker so the board doesn't lay entirely flat unless you h...  Read More

The prices extend past the bottom of the case when hinged open. Just closing and moving the case made it all dinged up. You’d think with all that smell, that the glue would work.
