Pros and Cons

Pros3

It has a large capacity and i have ridden in several heavy storms and it is fully waterproof. I normally use it to hold my sleeping pad, compressed down sleeping bag, jacket, and 1-2 sets of clothing. It's only been on 3-4 rides so far and no rain sto...  Read More

The seatpost strap is all velcro, so it's easily adjusted to make this work. Then connected the main strap as normal. It's a plastic u of sorts - looking the side of the bag, the u sits sideways and reinforces both the top and bottom walls.

Easy to install. Doesn't look obvious to me, tho. I also like the way it looks. It’s kind of rugged looking.

After a single days use the material that comes into contact with the seat post was fraying and developing holes. It seems like the straps that you tighten work themselves loose over time with the jitter and shake of riding. I've definitely spent a fa...  Read More

It clips onto the rear of a topeak rear rack and works perfectly. It slides on the track nicely, but it will make a slight rattling noise. I have it mounted on the rad expand 5 using the cascade manufacturing rack deck plate.

Detachable top compartment is also deceptively spacious. Main bag area has plenty of room and is expandable.

If you get one of these make a handle that uses the clasps on each end. It has a little cinchable bungee cord that goes in the finger groove of your water bottle to keep it from bouncing out. The bag doesn't clothe well, but it doesn't hurt either.

Cons2

The benefits of the topeak attachment system to the *consumer* are dubious. The heavy plastic proprietary attachment hardware adds a great deal of unnecessary weight to this bag. Maybe it's prohibitively expensive?

You have to velcro the straps around the frame and this is where the frustration stated. No velcro loops or places to thread straps or bungees. The silver stripes on the side and rear of the bag have rough and grainy surfaces, the pannier stripe does ...  Read More
