I have this behind my recliner and it is very convenient. Housing is a bit flimsy, but as long as you don't beat on it, that's not a problem.
This device is intended to be used with a duplex outlet. We frequently have guests that need a place to plug in a laptop, tablet or cell phone. This is inside my closet for all of my internet and cable service.
One major flaw- the center hole is supposed to attach through the wall plate with a provided screw. It seems they are misaligned or something. No doubt a defective surge protector, it should not be sold.
It is too hard to plug into. The usb port has a very loose fit and cables will detach on their own too easily. Plugged into the wall, then pulled it out.
Long chord makes this simple to use after plugging in. Usb ports on side make easy connection. I like the space between the outlets and the usb plugins as they help to reduce the slot needed to charge my phone and other miscellaneous items.
