I have this behind my recliner and it is very convenient. Housing is a bit flimsy, but as long as you don't beat on it, that's not a problem.
This device is intended to be used with a duplex outlet. We frequently have guests that need a place to plug in a laptop, tablet or cell phone. This is inside my closet for all of my internet and cable service.
One major flaw- the center hole is supposed to attach through the wall plate with a provided screw. It seems they are misaligned or something. No doubt a defective surge protector, it should not be sold.
It is too hard to plug into. The usb port has a very loose fit and cables will detach on their own too easily. Plugged into the wall, then pulled it out.
Each plug has its own light-up switch. Allows you to turn each one off individually rather than having to unplug them each time use them. Great for cable mangment and easy plug access.
I am able to loosen the bracket and relocate the power strip as needed, whereas, most of them just have the holes for permanent mounting. It is easy to clamp on. I wish that it accommodated wider/thicker desks.
Used this to get an entire power strip off the ground. It's unbelievably handy to have this on your desk. This definitely beats kneeling on the floor to pull out the cords. Highly recommend this to help cut the cord clutter under your desk.
Looks like a bad batch of power strips! However, the plug sockets are incredibly loose. It’s too much of a hassle to try to return it.
