The secret to keeping these blankets from matting is to make sure they are fully dried. The blanket washes up well and comes out of the dryer just as fluff as it was. The other big plus is that it is machine washable.

My kids are now 28 and 22 and they still cherish the “sick blanket’. Its very breathable and feels cold to the touch, keeping you cool all night. It maintains a great temp and i love evening using this as an extra when i’m cold.
No more throwing the covers on and off while sleeping fitfully. In the summer a full blown blanket is too much, but a top sheet just isn't enough. I'm the world's hottest sleeper ever and this is 100% cool to the touch.

This blanket makes me so disgustingly hot when i sleep. It just blocks it, leaving me boiling. If i put it in the fridge, it still just warms up immediately, so i have to go full freeze. After about 5 minutes the cooling effect is gone.
The material is really flimsy. I get the other comments that say it’s almost like bathing suit material. The texture of this is awful.
The comforter is only quilted/stitched through in a half-dozen small circles. It is very slippery, and i have sateen-style sheets, so it doesn’t stay positioned on my bed very well.
