The mount is mainly a lightweight plastic material and i will update after a few uses to confirm the stability and sturdiness of this mount. The quality and workmanship is excellent. Very compact and sturdy.

Tilt or rotate to the perfect angle. The tilt adjustment features a thumbscrew tension lock. The rotation and angle options are a plus!

Cold shoe clamp is the cheapest and worst clamp i have ever seen on the market. This device is garbage and you couldn't pay me $100 to use it again. It would be overpriced even if it were free.

Most disappointingly the rods that extend the width of the clamp are plastic. They creak and flex alarmingly under normal use. The bumpers that hold the phone in place are too small to securely hold a large phone.

Base can be rotated freely (360° +) in either direction when not clamped down. Cold shoe attachment is removable, exposing ¼-20 female tripod socket. Ball joint allows me to swivel whatever i have mounted to where i need it.

Like everything i've bought from smallrig these are well machined and solid. No complaint here. They do what they are supposed to and i trust them with light loads.

The bottom ring can't just be tightened against the camera. You have to tighten it to the camera and then tighten the barrel down on top of it. The whole ball head is not independent of the tightness of the shoe mount.

They're super flimsy and hard to assemble. Terrible build. Not sturdy. Going into my drawer of total failure camera parts.
