These are really hold-open arms with a friction dampener. We usually associate soft close with an air- or spring- damped hinge. The hinge works perfectly for our needs.
Very disappointed. The quality looks good on the surface, until you have to install the plastic washers/spacers. Feel pretty cheap compared to how they are pictured. Like flimsy stamped metal mixed with plastic.
Instructions are nonexistent. The angles of the bracket insure poor alignment and something will dig into wood.
Falsely advertised as soft close but really just a lid support. Does not close soft, and the instructions are horrible.
Door shims with 4 screws that alternate positions, in a zig zag formation, is not what i received. There seems to be a product design change at some point without updating the packaging or the amazon description.
