The design of this alarm clock is sleek. It is very easy and intuitive to use. The alarm is awesome and has great colours.

It has no battery back-up, but it has a capacitor to store power if/when the electricity goes out. There are two brightness one is 100% full, and one is adjustable from 0% to 100% with a dial on the bottom. The brightness is adjustable for sleeping.

It blows away my old clock radio. This is now my second sangean radio, i also own the hdr-18 table am-fm hd radio. Very pleased with this radio.
