Ball bearing hinges seem defective. On every hinge i have ever seen, the bottom of the hinge has a hole so you can pop out the pin.

The laundry door is a hollow core door, standard residential and was installed plumb and square. The hinge is solid, and thick metal. It probably has something to do with the air flow inside the pantry where it was installed.

This hinge is sturdy and super easy to install. The screws provided are just the right size to fill the existing holes and still grab on tight. Instructions are easy to follow. Easy to install and worked perfectly.

This is the worst self-closing hinge i have ever had the misfortune to purchase. It hits the door latch and stops.

Following the instructions exactly led to half an hour of rage and frustration. Adjusting it however, was a nightmare. Very frustrating to deal with and this was my option to fix.
