This soundbar is the perfect compliment to my prized a90j. This thing packs a punch in many different ways.

The sound is rich and layered. It’s super stylish looking and not huge compared to off brands so makes it look very to the point. It is pricey but it is well worth it.

With ra tracks, the music producer places each channel in a specific location in the listener’s space. This initial setup process also performs the sound field optimization process to optimize the surround sound quality.

Paired this with a roku 75s535 using earc. Did not experience any audio sync issues. Syncing with my tcl tv was seamless. Lip sync, the correlation between the video and audio playing together, is slightly off.

Tcl even mentions this in the instruction booklet, which makes me think they are aware of the possible problem with some tvs. It's either fully on or it's blinking to let you know it's in standby.

Even using a tcl 65r635 tv the sound is out of sync. The instructions make no mention of connecting to a network. Only way to upgrade software is with google home.

The sub is somehow inconsistent. The bass is horrible. It's very frustrating!

The original issue persists and now the device shuts itself off if it doesn't detect a signal after 15 minutes. The audio is delayed by up to 300ms at times. Plugging it back into the tv turns all sound off in the headphones.

Tcl's wireless subwoofer has no instructions for setting it up or connecting to it. The only reliable way to get this thing to work is to physically unplug the power cords.

The base is deeeeep. This is extremely terrible design and makes me regret purchasing this product. Purchase this tcl alto 9 at your own peril.
