The vibration helps tremendously! The vibrate modes does the trick. Vibration is very strong and comes with special batteries to ensure a long working lifespan. The * part uses aas (i think) while the clock uses aaas.

This little clock dependably awakens me even in a sleep deprived state! The vibration always wakes me. The beeping isn't loud, but will wake most people.

The sonic alarm is 100 percent reliable. I like it because it is small and portable. Nice little clip leash to insure that it doesn't * itself off the table.

For those that enjoy am radio, this has it, along with fm. Comes with a power cord - a must for me - but it also has one of those boxes at the plug in end.

We wish so much the dimmer was part of it. Battery backup is another plus with this unit.

This one is perfect and is priced perfectly. For the price it is fine.
