The front has enough of a lip to protect the screen. The interior (pic#3) is a soft suede-like material which cushions the phone.

The accordion pouch holds quite a few cards/ids plus cash. It's so nice not to have to rummage through my bigger purse for my go to cards and license. I never need to bring my wallet which makes everything streamlined and so convenient for me.
