Press works very well for flattening. Take about a half-dollar-sized ball and put in the middle of the iron. Once you have practiced this a couple times, it works.
Roti remains uncooked. The roti turns out rubbery. Not crispy. An uncooked tortilla when left for a few minutes becomes very dry and difficult to eat.
