I love the art, but it does not suggest the grit of dueling factions with an insurrection brewing underneath that obvious struggle. The mechanics are not complex but have sufficient nut-and-bolts to allow for good character differentiation.

Bought for 11 year old grandson. Magnetic board is not that strong to hold the pieces but still it holds them good.

The game is rated about elo 1700 which as far as i am concerned is pretty darn good, or at least better than me. Teaches chess and promotes practicing.

From above, pawns look like pawns, the other pieces all look about the same. The magnets are very weak and the pieces come loose with ease. It's a fair opponent if you're a fair player, a tough opponent for a beginner.

This chinese garbage has a tiny lcd screen that is impossible to read. The back light is so dim made it impossible. This is so tedious to get to work that it distracts from any ability to learn.

Cheap plastic. Very over priced, and small. Would never purchase agian. Good reviews look like they were written by the sellers or friends of them. I could not recommend this one.

Huge disappointment. Had to send it back and hunt for a "vintage" one like his old one. Very disappointed and will request a refund.
