They work like regular lightbulbs, and the lantern hooks are definitely convenient. They're very bright, but with a lampshade, you would never notice. Much better than candles or lantern.
Electrical outage. Beats walking around with a flashlight. I am used to having a generator but sold my home and living temporarily in a rental, so no generator.
The bulb is huge and doesn't fit in most of my lamps. You have to turn them off at the lamps as well, which is rather inconvenient. Your money would be better spent on a rechargeable led lantern or flashlight.
Be forewarned. Only 1 works. Very disappointed. It's sad when you purchase something for an emergency situation and it turns out to be garbage.
Fits inside my direct drive garage door openers. Used on my new liftmaster garage door opener. The frequency protection is amazing and doesn't interfere with the garage door opener.

Torchstar bulbs work well with my new liftmaster garage door opener system. Have used these led bulbs successfully now with my chamberlin garage door opener and remotes. I note the install dates on the bulb bases to keep track of longevity.
Very poor durability and longevity. Look for a better bulb.
