This harness is very sturdy and easy to adjust to get the right fit! The only reason this harness is a 4 instead of 5 is that the clasp buckle is a little stiff and hard to buckle. The straps adjust easily enough to not require advanced training.
A dorkie is a dachshund and yorkie mix. The doxy is 21 pounds and it fit him as well. My 50lb cattle dog is snug in a large so i would definitely size up.
The material is high-quality, and the stitching appears to be well-done and solid. The straps are heavy duty nylon - again very nice - and all of the buckles are solid.
It’s bulky and he does not like it. Manufacturer admits that it is not chew proof.

Ruffwear makes the best harnesses. This is the 4th dog i’ve owned that has had a ruff harness. This harness is strong and durable.
Ruffwear is the only brand available at rei. It is by far superior to any other brand.
Company is cheapening and compromising to make a buck. Total waste of money. If it worked for some dog owners i am happy for them.
The neck on this harness is horribly high. The strap that connects the two at the bottom, along his chest, is too long and as a result, pushes the harness up.
