It's really bright, but has a dimming button if needed. I just wish it had a built in stand and dimmer dial like the blue one does.

The radio is great and alarms are nice and loud with prompt timing to turn on.

One of them just beeps once and the screen goes blank as soon as you put the new batteries in. The thermometer only goes to 99f then displays hhh.
