I have been impressed with the quality of this product for the price. I am a former soldier and we used some of the best night vision devices made. Battery life seems good so far.

The nightfox has a 3x optical zoom and a digital zoom for an additional 3x. The lens seems to gather enough light even at night.

One is for use during daylight. During the day, keep that one covered with the lens cap. Works well n daytime and night time.

The binoculars work well for daylight bird spotting. I have one photo and one video of a deer that was about 25ft away. These are awesome for being able to see the coyotes in the wetlands behind our home at night.

Scroll through the levels up to level 6, the brightest. Switching between modes means you have to go through all the menus, which is a tad inconvenient. There are not that many menu options to scroll through, so it does make sense.
