There was no vision through the lens, during the day or night. The viewing screen is small and you need to be rather close to the object you are viewing. The zoom feature is mostly useless as is the image it projects on its very tiny screen.

Full open the product does not allow full eyesight coverage of face. I am sure that they do magnify as promised but i have no concept of how much magnification would be needed.
