The hangar has a spring loaded pin inside the lower hinge, that bears against an acentric area of the lower bearing. That provides a positive centering of the hangar bar when it is positioned perpendicular to the wall.

Reviewer says it takes too long to dry clothes. It's those flimsy poles you'd get in a walmart-put-together-thing. Parts were mixed up. Great for drying delicates - right up until it started blowing only cold air.
