Pros and Cons

Pros1

The subwoofer connects the rear speakers via wired cables, and there's a ton of length between them. This is the best surround sound system i have owned. We have a relatively small house and this package fills the space with sound.

Cons2

Remote control is poorly laid out, its instructions are difficult to understand, and the display on the soundbar presents text in a non-intuitive way. The audio systematically cuts off in the middle of a movie, show or sporting event. Only works half ...  Read More

There’s just no crispness. Channel separation is weak.

Pros5

The sony ht g-700 is our first sound bar with atmos dolby. If you have multiple hdmi inputs on your tv, this allows all of those inputs to output sound to the sound bar through the tv. The only issue i have is that when we fast forward on our tivo, it...  Read More

The remote is easy to operate. The remote signal repeater is very useful because the tv sits very close to the surface of the tv stand.

The immersive av function really fills the room with great sound and there are several settings via the remote for cinema, standard etc. It has voice enhanced sound so you could hear dialog better.

The subwoofer is wireless and was connected to the soundbar right out of the box. Set up was very easy and the connectivity is great. It takes a while to charge the battery.

This is a great unit if you do not have the space or need for a full 5 or 7 speaker system. This can easily take the place of bulkier or more complicated units. The base is thunderous without succumbing to vibration.

Cons3

Audio from the soundbar is tinny and doesn't have much depth. My 150 doller tcl alto8i has better clearer louder dialog than this 600 dollar sound bar. Virtual surround sound is trash.

There's no wifi if that's important to you. Customer service is useless. Absolutely useless and defective.

The subwoofer is'meh' with some rumble but nothing to wow you. Bass is almost non existent unless the volume is above 50%. All treble and bass, washed out mids.
