Pros and Cons

Pros4

The maono pd400x works over both xlr and usb. Usb mode competes with the xlr setup which is cool. The xlr sounds amazing as well paired with a good interface.

Overall sound quality exceeds the quality of other popular mics such as the blue yeti. It's a top quality sounding podcast microphone with great features that make sense.

Mic has good gain and will pick up ambient noise. It's got better discretion, in terms of not picking up ambient sounds. There's also a tap-to-mute area on the mic, which is handy and nice.

The mic looks excellent and sounds very good. It has a solid build and an awesome sound. This is extremely versatile. This mic is fantastic!

Cons1

Just be cautious buying a mic from a no-name company like this. The support is non-existent and the quality control is clearly not there. Watched several youtube videos praising this microphone.

Pros3

Usb mic has built-in digital mixer with effects. In board processing and zero latency earphone are powerful features. Software is very useful and improves very much the mic's performance.

Comes with software that is fully configurable. Universal control application gives you a lot of flexibility over how the microphone behaves. The eq lets you adjust this as desired though.

This is not a deal-breaker because you can assign whatever fat channel setup you want to any given button. This means i don't tax the resources of my computer's cpu. I need to swap the usb-c port with other devices, so i just plug it when i need it.

Cons1

It sounds like crumbling aluminum foil every time i talk into it. Terrible product.
