The touch control is pretty sensitive, you really only have to brush against it lightly for it to turn on or cycle brightness. Though, it's worth mentioning that i remove the light from the base after use.

The moon light only works on battery power. It works normal while plugged in, but it doesn't at all. Bought 2 lights, both flicker and useless. From the stand to the tippy top of the lamp it's about 7 inches, the lamp itself is about 5 inches.
