The material is not thin and flimsy and it has lots of coins to make noise. I wear a 10 and have hips and this fit nicely with room to spare. The only complaint is a slight odor when first opened.

This is perfect to dance in. The twinkling sounds are just perfect. It jingles when dancing which i love.
