The writing is insipid, the characters equally so. Francis urguhart is an annoyingly petty bully. All the politics depend on whether an article is published in the newspaper. Very dry. Dull dull dull.

Figures from life is full color and glossy and has both detail of anatomy and step by step walk troughs of sketches. There’s wonderful anatomy breakdowns, excellent coverage of the importance of line weight, and information on the materials.
