There’s 24 rods total to drape things across. The hanger arms are especially useful for hanging longer clothes like dresses or long pants. Multiples of jeans and sweat pants can be hung from the rods.
This drying rack is wonderful. We quit using a dryer in 2006 to cut down on fabric damage (the lint traps hold the fabric remains) as a result, it's both environmentally & economically helpful.

The clips are sturdy and looks very durable. The clips leave pinch marks initially, but they seem to disappear after you wear the clothing. It works good & is sturdy enough, but pinching the clips is very awkward.
If it's heavier then a wash rag or sock then the item slides right out of the hooks and onto the ground. It was built incorrectly.
