These are a good concept but don’t execute. Only lasted about 1yr and almost caught fire. They all tend to fail after 2 or 3 months of use.
I have mine over an orchid in a dark corner that doesn't get enough light. My only issue is that having it low enough to give it adequate light, the light doesn't reach the outer edges of the leaves.
The telescoping ability is perfect for individual plants. You can make the light brighter or dimmer.
They have a sturdy, telescoping rod that's easy to adjust. Great value for the product, and a bonus for aesthetics.
These are just glorified light bulbs. Don't buy. The florescent lamps are much better than grow lights. Returning for full refund.
It seems to be a reoccurring problem with the adapters quitting or malfunctioning. It looks like there may have been a short in the adapter, causing it to get too hot and melt the adapter in places.
