My only issue with this purchase is the clarity of the rules of the game. It is a lovely well made game, worth the cost, and if you purchase it, i hope you get to play it with someone. If there is an issue the seller is very responsive to messages.
There are distinct cracks along the bamboo lines, and the board now wobbles slightly on fiat surface. The bamboo is only a thin veneer that is rapidly developing cracks. There is no way to repair them, and they will only get worse.
Seigen style bowls are well fashioned, but there is no carrying bag for the bowls. Stones mixed with hair (weird). Try styrofoam. Board is a product of shoddy worksmanship.
Is it usable? Is it worth $70? Absolutely not.
Best seller and product. Board is larger than most but also sturdier than most. Double sided so you basically get two games in one.
If one has played the united kingdom version, this is a continuation challenge game. It is both challenging and satisfying to play.
This game is just as fun with the added complexity of the boats. It keeps you constantly on your toes, trying to outwit your opponents. The one fault of the game is for 5 player games, it has far too few ship cards to collect.
The variations are unique and exciting. It adds a layer of challenge to the already great game. This is in line with the original ticket to ride but is more challenging.
You can go through the entire stack of ship cards without getting what you need. Miserable game and way too expensive to be this poorly designed.
