It stays in place and has not been affected by cleaning agents like hoppes, ballistol, clp or other gun cleaners. Use a toothpick to apply. It's pretty thick and you dab a lot more than you brush this stuff.
Used for front sight paint on two black front sight blades. Looking through the peep sight on a mini 14. I'm using this glo formula for my gun sights and after doing the light test, i'm sure it'll do the job.
The only downside is it's pricy for the amount you get.
It's bright like a firefly after just a little exposure to light. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, it's best to use a led light to charge the paint.
To activate the paint, it takes a flashlight about 10 seconds shining on each set to make them glow brightly. Glows at night.
Not for gun sights. Need to charge with light then only glows for an hour. After several minutes in the dark, the glow begins to fade and is soon completely gone.
Holosun 510 is far superior to the cheapo red dot clones. Wide view, great adjustable reticle. X magnifier it is great.
Holosun has very a strict warranty, don't end up with a 300 dollar paperweight like i did. I find this to be completely unacceptable and have already started my return. Its a paperweight at best.
Light coming from where it projects the reticle onto the lens is distracting. Battery life is terrible and the brightness is not that good.
Holosun sights are great sights, but the experience with this seller was horrible. No quality control sticker like reputable manufacturees have from the last one to check it prior to shipping. Beware on fake holosun products.
One unit failed to power on despite a battery swap, the other has a recurring reticle surge from dim to bright. That's just unacceptable for a $340 optic. Buy vortex or eotech instead.
