It takes pictures, zooms and provides ir vision. It projects light to illuminate. I wish i could zoom out more but the default is at least 2x.

The charger is not in the box. There was no vision through the lens, during the day or night. Hopefully ol' bezos stops these merchants. Instructions say memory card is included but there is no memory card in thebox or camera.

These are more like a * camera. The night vision is blurry. My cell phone has better night vision and zoom than this product.

X magnification is also worthy of mention. Fully adjustable focus from 3 feet to 400 meters. It is so cool to have the options of zoom, focus,, plus taking photos and videos.

These binoculars boast some pretty strong battery life too. Had to use alkaline aa or external lithium battery.

Day vision quality is so-so. Zoom is not all that good either. Max view is 960.
