The chairs stay put, even on my satin finish oak. It helps from scratching my floors. The foamy cushion keeps them from being off balance.
After a week plus of use the pads under the most used chairs completely flattened out to less then half of the original thickness. But at least it is quiet when you do that. These are not felt pads at all--they're some sort of rubbery material.
Would buy it again without reservation. Put these on round kitchen table chair legs to protect newly refinished oak floors. They protect the legs and tiled floors from scraps and damages.
The have a felted side for glide on floors. I love how they glide on our wooden floors without leaving scuff marks. These glide on cork instead of slipping off the chair feet in felt.
Easy to install but deform and fall off as soon as the chair is moved. They attract dirt like a magnet so that's odd.
