The chairs stay put, even on my satin finish oak. It helps from scratching my floors. The foamy cushion keeps them from being off balance.
After a week plus of use the pads under the most used chairs completely flattened out to less then half of the original thickness. But at least it is quiet when you do that. These are not felt pads at all--they're some sort of rubbery material.
Put on bottom of toilet paper holder. These grippers really keep it in place. Once they're on they are worth the hassle.
If you buy them seperately, the 4 square and 2 round are only sold with the stick-on option. We now have to pay thousands of dollars to get the floor repaired. It feels like deceptive advertising.
