The flat electric plug means i can plug the power strip in behind the dresser and not worry about damaging the plug. Used this to run under my rug and couch to have power between my couch and love seat for laptops, phones, ipads and a lamp.

The plugs are wider or loose, and i could not make most of the electrical cords stay on these extension plugs; they automatically get unplugged. Cord length is only 8' 9.
