The roku device can use an outlet or usb port. It also makes it possible for me to not carry multiple adapters, as this has direct usb plugins. Used to replace a much larger power strip and additional usb charger.

This device isn't ul certified, which doesn't inspire confidence. The usb ports are severely underpowered. Complaints from my device of insufficient charging power.

Safer, more resilient. Robust & beefy. Sturdy yet streamline.

I guard mine like the prized possession it is. I like the way the cord wraps neatly around the body. I can't judge the quality of the surge protector by looking at the exterior.

Looks great and worked great for 1 yr. Contacting the manufacturer is also a very unpleasant experience.
