Eria bulbs are half the price of hue bulbs. Works really well with hue and smartthings. These bulbs also work with the smartthings hub as well.

Installation is very easy, but of course you have to rewire the fixture.

tubes are a bit expensive but about the same as new ballast. Little pricey but worth the few extra bucks to replace fluorescent tubes. No complains however.

After diconecting old ballast which was riveted to fixture, found there were 5-6 too short wires wires to deal with. It's now in the trash can. Would not recommend without prior electrical+lighting expertise.
