Batteries provide a bright light and work well on timer. Although they are not the cheapest brand of batteries, i think i def get my moneys worth. Use these batteries in several candles.

Duracell is the most economical on the market for long life alkaline batteries. This kind of battery lasts a long time. They provide an excellent source of light via a flashlight, and are very long lasting.

Batteries in my flashlight turned it on a functioned turned it off. Checked them with volt meter and got only ~0. Not happy camper.
